Terms of Service – RewriteFlow

Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using the RewriteFlow website, Chrome extension, and related services (collectively, the "Service") operated by RewriteFlow ("RewriteFlow", "we", "us", or "our").

By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility

You may use the Service only if:

  • You are at least 18 years old, or old enough to enter into a binding contract in your jurisdiction; and
  • You have the power to enter into a binding agreement and are not barred from doing so under any applicable laws.

If you use the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind the organization to these Terms.

2. Your account and waitlist

You may be able to join a waitlist or create an account to use certain features. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete information.
  • Keep your information up to date.
  • Not share your account credentials or allow unauthorized use.

You are responsible for all activity under your account. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or misuse the Service.

3. Use of the Service

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to:

  • Access and use the website, and
  • Install and use the Chrome extension on your own devices.

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service unlawfully, fraudulently, or abusively.
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or extract source code.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service or networks.
  • Circumvent security or authentication features.
  • Use the Service to create or train competing products.

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue parts of the Service at any time, with or without notice.

4. Your content

You may submit text or other materials ("User Content") during use of the Service. You retain rights to your User Content.

By submitting User Content, you grant RewriteFlow a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to process it for:

  • Providing the Service;
  • Operating and improving the Service;
  • Ensuring security and preventing abuse;
  • Complying with legal obligations.

You represent and warrant that:

  • You have rights to the User Content;
  • The User Content does not infringe third-party rights or violate laws.

5. AI-generated content and responsibility

The Service may generate AI-based content ("AI Output"). You understand and agree that:

  • AI Output may contain inaccuracies or unsuitable content.
  • You are responsible for reviewing and deciding how to use it.
  • RewriteFlow does not provide legal, financial, medical, or professional advice.
  • AI Output should not replace professional judgment.

6. Payment and subscriptions

Some features may require paid subscriptions. Prices, features, and billing terms are shown at purchase.

  • By subscribing, you authorize us or our payment processor to charge applicable fees and taxes.
  • Subscriptions may renew automatically unless canceled before renewal.
  • We may change prices with advanced notice when required.
  • Fees are generally non-refundable unless required by law.

7. Intellectual property

The Service (excluding User Content) is owned by or licensed to RewriteFlow and protected by intellectual property laws.

You may not:

  • Copy, modify, distribute, or sell the Service;
  • Use our trademarks or branding without permission.

8. Third-party services

The Service integrates third-party tools (e.g., browser platforms, analytics, payment providers, AI model providers). Your use of such services may be subject to their own terms. We are not responsible for them.

9. Chrome extension permissions

The extension may request permissions to detect text selections and provide rewrite suggestions. These permissions are used only to deliver the Service. See our Privacy Policy for details.

10. Beta features and early access

Beta features may be experimental or unstable. They are provided "as is" and may collect additional usage data.

11. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee accuracy, reliability, security, or uninterrupted availability.

12. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent allowed by law:

  • RewriteFlow is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or loss of profits or revenue.
  • Our total liability will not exceed the amount you paid in the 3 months prior to the claim, or USD $50 if using the Service for free.

Some jurisdictions may not allow certain limitations; in such cases, liability will be limited as permitted by law.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless RewriteFlow from claims arising out of your use of the Service, your User Content, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.

14. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or pose risk to the Service or others.

Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends. We may retain certain information as permitted by law.

15. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms periodically. Continued use of the Service after updates constitutes acceptance. If you do not agree, stop using the Service.

16. Governing law and dispute resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of State of Delaware. Disputes will be resolved exclusively in the courts of Wilmington, DE.

17. Miscellaneous

  • Entire agreement: These Terms + Privacy Policy.
  • Severability: Invalid provisions do not affect the rest.
  • No waiver: Failure to enforce rights is not a waiver.
  • Assignment: You may not assign; we may assign freely.
